My husband and I dated for 5 ½ years before we finally tied the knot. In December of 2007 I received a beautiful proposal and we decided that we wanted a fall wedding. We set the date for September 20, 2008, and plans were big. During this time we also decided to begin building a house. In July the stress, financial and personal, had gone from a mole hill to a mountain and my father offered us the money that he had planned to use for our wedding if we would just settle for a small intimate ceremony. This would relieve financial stress along with ‘big wedding’ stress. We decided that this was the best decision for our future. In an attempt to save money we cut the budget which hindered our choice of photographer, so we began an exhausting search for one. After getting quotes from three other photographers we finally settled on one. I still wasn’t completely satisfied with our choice because we weren’t getting much for our money, and then Dawn miraculously came into the picture about a week before the wedding. Since she is friends with my sister-in-law we were introduced, by email, and she customized a package for us. It was a great deal and I was confident that it would all work out. Our wedding was perfectly flawless, and Dawn definitely contributed to the outcome. She was patient, efficient, and not at all disruptive. I’ve been to weddings where photographers get in the front of the wedding and disrupt the intimacy of the ceremony, but that was not the case. She also was very patient with us as she posed the families. I understand that it can get frustrating especially with children and large families (which we have). Dawn was not rude or short with anyone. She was patient and friendly. We could not have asked for a better photographer. We had a lot of stress leading up to the wedding, but having a photographer that was friendly and did great work definitely made the day much more enjoyable and relaxing. We really appreciate her work and her kindness. She definitely helped us capture memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you!
